one week ago we said goodbye to our host family and got ready to travel to Thailand!
Saying goodbye was one of the hardest moments I’ve had since I left home. It felt like leaving family I’ve had forever without a guarantee that I’ll ever see them again.
It was such a blessing to live life with them and I learned so much about loving unconditionally in the time I spent in the bode. There are so many people to meet and love I can’t express my gratitude for our little family 💛
We left our town 4 days earlier than we had planned and spent a few days in Siem reap to debrief Cambodia and get ready for Thailand. This time was so special, a time to rest without having to also go to ministry. We spent quality time together and reminisced on our favorite moments while getting ready for a big change!
In Cambodia my team lived about 2 hours from the rest of the squad, so we had so much time to learn how to pour into each other well and create a stronger community. Along with loving our new family, we also got to learn to love each other more than we had before. This could mean getting coffee, painting, watching movies, just dance, and memes. I learned to love the kids that we taught and the families that we met during house visits.
Cambodia taught me that the world is bigger than I can imagine, and how special it is that God loves us all so much. I want to love people well and this was the country that taught me so much about unconditional love 💌💌
