“Pray for me, and think of me every day.” What humbling words. These are words spoken by people that we get the opportunity to visit in daily house visits. A house visit is an opportunity for us to get to know people from the community, we sit in their homes and learn about their lives and pray for them. I feel so blessed to be a part of what the Lord is doing!
I want to love these people forever, and it breaks my heart to think about leaving this place, but I will always pray for these people.
As a foreigner, all eyes are on us. We walk the streets and kids follow us and everyone says hello. In a place where I feel so normal, people see us as so much more. This is an AMAZING opportunity for us to share the gospel and the lords love. These people see us so highly, and only through Christ do I have something valuable to say.
This is how I am learning the power of prayer. These people see us as so important that they want us to never forget them, but thank God that he sees, knows, and loves everyone. And thank God that I am able to meet and love more of his people!
Gods love is so kind and timely.
This last week we got a puppy named Ali B! There are so many things I have learned since rescuing a dog that is 2 weeks old. My teammate rescued her, gave her a bath, and got her food. As an American we treat dogs almost like people, but in Asia the culture is very different. This has taught us to steward our love and respect well as we learn new culture and social norms. This has also been a reminder to us that there is sad and hurt in the world, and we are blessed to rescue one puppy but we aren’t always given the opportunity to help every hurting human and animal, but God is good through it all. God is revealing more of his heart and his goodness through this puppy, that even in the hard and hurt He is always good. His kindness is so evident to me that he will reveal in small, timely amounts lessons we need to learn in ways that we can comprehend. I am so excited to be around a puppy everyday, but I am so thankful for the parts of the Lords heart I’ve gotten to know deeper as I am reminded through all the hurt and suffering, He is good!
Prayer request!
I had an allergic reaction to a mango smoothie this week, and my body has been struggling for about 4 days. Mango is something I’ve never been allergic to. I was able to go see a doctor to get some medicine, but please pray for my body as I learn more about new allergies, and that I can fully recover and go back to normal daily ministry!
Thanks for reading, love and miss you all! 💌
I love how you see the circumstances with humility and gratitude. Your time there is so precious and it’s beautiful to read about your experiences!! I am absolutely praying for your body and the mango allergy. 🙏💕✨
Good Morning from chilly Precott! (28 degrees) I am SO glad you are feeling better. Cade is super allergice mangos (and related items) so I was doing some big time praying for you. Little Miss Ali B is adorable. She’s so fortunate to have found all of you. Please let the families know who you are doing house visits with that we are praying for them, too. Love the blog and Insta posts. We miss you but are so excited about all the opportunities you have to share Jesus. Much love from Mama B! 🙂
Sending all the prayers up for allergies, for the families who want prayer and to be remembered, and little Ali B., what a blessing! Keep up the good work. Depending on the Lord is your only hope! He will hold you and carry you on to do the work he has planned. Love you!! Tell the team we’re praying!
