I have been thanking the Lord daily for the simple things in life.

  • FaceTime calls with my parents
  • good friends
  • our puppy!
  • birthdays

Gratitude has been something I have been learning to devote more of my time to because I don’t want to miss the every day miracles by getting caught up in the bigger picture, the future, or things at home.

Stopping to smell the flowers means pausing a journey to appreciate something beautiful in front of you, and I think stopping to smell the flowers is a great reminder to stop and rest in the Lords goodness.

I spent the last 2 weeks sick in bed, so finding something to blog about had been difficult. I missed meals, ministry, worship, and valuable time with my team. But through it all they loved me well, and it reminds me how thoughtful the Father is in the ways that he loves us. He knows exactly what we need for where we’re at and loves us each individually based off of what we need. I have been noticing this more and more as my team will bring me a meal or fill up my water bottle because it was hard for me to get out of bed.

This is a reminder to me to stop and love people how they need, stopping to smell the flowers!

There are so many people in the world to fall in love with! We are getting closer to leaving for Thailand (yay!) but thinking about leaving this place could bring me to tears. We’ve been here for 5 weeks and the family that we live with has a special place in my heart. Each member is so unique, caring, and brings so much joy.

I am thankful for the opportunity to make new friends and serve the Lord with them!

I am in awe of how precious every person God created is, and the love I have continues to grow every day. How special is it that he sees, knows, and loves EVERY SINGLE PERSON!! This is a constant reminder to me that despite my situation or how I feel, I want to love the people around me well!

Thanks for reading I love you all!
